Final Fantasy XIII update

RE: Final Fantasy XIII update
Just be careful to check the sell price of all components. I was using some components that were designed to be sold, on my weapons for most of the game.

The guide actually tells you which monsters to fight, which to attempt, and which to run away from. Bethemoths came under "Attempt' and so I beat one on like the third try. No point though, when it takes that long. Unless you use the tactic Sanity mentioned.

One last thing on components. When buying them, some are better multiplyers than others, even though they're all priced the same. Sturdy Bone is an example. Even though it cost the same as another 80 gil component, it gives slightly better return. So look those up for a slight headstart.

And try and comitt only to one weapon for each person. If you change your mind mid-game on a weapon and start on another, you mighten have enough money to level everyones stuff by the end.

Ah, yes. Don't forget to SELL your credit chips and such. They're not for crafting, and they get you a buttload of Gil. You can use the gil to buy the Catalyst stones from one of the stores. These stones upgrade your weapons to something entirely new after you max the weapon's level out. But each weapon uses a specific stone, so you have to do your research before buying.

Don't go crazy if you feel that you're not upgrading people's weapons enough. By the end of the game I had only fully upgraded 3 items. One was Lightning's default sword, One was Fang's default spear, and the third was a really good sword for Lightning that you get late in the game. Didn't touch anybody else and made it through fine.

They tell you in the information box at the top if you should sell them or not.

This may be against the rules, but whatever.

Here's a link to a pdf file of the official strategy guide. Grab it if you don't have it. It's pretty nice.

RE: Final Fantasy XIII update
So I just experienced something odd.. I bought 34 umm something and my weapon had 3Xexp.. but after I gave all those items to the weapon which added 22000+ exp.. My exp multiplier disappeared. Anyone got an answer for that ?

I wondered why I got so little exp for it.

RE: Final Fantasy XIII update
Adding low exp organic materials to a weapon will boost the exp multiplier while high exp synthetic materials will lower the multiplier, this is why it's best to use organic mats to boost it to x3 multiplier and then use as many synthetic mats of one kind all at once to get a huge exp boost.

RE: Final Fantasy XIII update
Yeah I quickly got the multipliers back, though I had no idea the multipliers went away.
