RE: What book are you currently reading?
I've finished Watership Down now and I'm currently about 50 pages through Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.
I absolutely loved Watership Down... and I think Adams' choice to use rabbits as opposed to humans worked really well as it took a bit of the darkness and malice out of the book and made it a whole lot more accesible to the reader. As for Catch-22 so far it's been pretty funny, but not really "one of the greatest books of all time" material. ![]() Kudos to Roxas for the sig :) |

I got Catch-22 a few weeks ago, I'll probably read it once I'm done with this challenge thingy.
Currently reading: The Old Man and the Sea - John Steinbeck Frankenstein - Mary Shelley ![]() "'Woof,' he says... Do I look like a woofer?" ~ Kefka "My life is catnip in your pile. Ante up!" ~ Setzer "In this world are many like me who've killed their human owners. Don't forget that." ~ Shadow |

RE: What book are you currently reading?
I'm not a big fan of fantasy novels personally. However, having said that, Terry Pratchett's Discworld series breaks that generalisation. I think he might be my favourite satirical author actually, apart from maybe Dickens. Well anyway, try reading it. There are a load of books in the series and I haven't read them all personally. (It's so sad that Pratchett has Alzheimer's :[)

Is that Steinbeck any good Fanta?
I've been meaning to read through some of them but I've never had any opinion on them other than East of Eden & Grapes of Wrath. ![]() Kudos to Roxas for the sig :) |

I made a typo. I had Steinbeck on my mind when I typed that post, twas actually written by Hemingway. >.<
And it was a good book, finished it this morning. Kinda depressing, but a good book. ![]() "'Woof,' he says... Do I look like a woofer?" ~ Kefka "My life is catnip in your pile. Ante up!" ~ Setzer "In this world are many like me who've killed their human owners. Don't forget that." ~ Shadow |

RE: What book are you currently reading?
Just started reading a book from Clive Barker. "The Hellbound Heart" you all may know it by another name HELLRAISER. Its actually way better then the movie was. I started reading this after reading his books of blood series Vol. 1 if you've never ready horror novels i would say to pick this one up.

RE: What book are you currently reading?
Just finished reading "The concubines Secret" By Kate Furnivall.
I've been waiting for that thing for like 2 years! It was so worth it. The characters are just as good as in the first book and the setting this time is in Russia during the communist regime. God the place was so bleak back then! The final tragedy in the book made me want to throw it across the floor. After all that the character's go through! I'm not gonna say what happened. You have to read it. I just love how Kate Furnivall describes everything in so little detail. I hate massive pages of description and she really manages to fire the imagination as to what things look like without giving you a massive speech. |

RE: What book are you currently reading?
Nah, only book we read this year for English was To Kill a Mockingbird. We're also reading Looking for Alibrandi, or something like that. It's an okay book.
I'm just reading those because... well, basically I wanna read some of the 'classics'. Anyways... Right now I'm reading Slaughterhouse 5 - Kurt Vonnegut Funny yet kinda sad book. >.< ![]() "'Woof,' he says... Do I look like a woofer?" ~ Kefka "My life is catnip in your pile.
