Yehh, there were bits that really were lacking.

Malfoy taking Dumbledore's wand being one of them.

I also didn't think it was a good idea to change the person who finds Harry on the train from Tonks to Luna.

On the plus side... it's clear now that Daniel Radcliffe can act.

that's so dumb, why do things like who finds Harry on the train need to be changed?

surely because Malfoy didnt take Dumbledore's wand that is gonna seriously mess up the whole storyline with the next film. They will obviously just say that Malfoy still forcefully removed the wand from his possession but I mean seriously, how hard is it to just add Malfoy getting the wand. and as for Luna on the train. I was so pissed off about that because i really like the relationship between Harry and Tonks and it just makes no frickin sense that luna would be there.

I thought the battle in the castle would be one of the things that would DEFINITELY be in the film because surely the whole point of editing is to make the film more exciting. surely they needed a fight scene at the end. i'm used to book-film adaptations but this time i think some of the choices they made just didnt make sense

ok, so I saw like the first 40 minutes of this and quite frankly, it's a pile of complete sh1t.

seriously, not a single goddamn thing was relevent to the book.

This is why I don't read the books. So I can appreciate the movie as a movie and not as a representation of a book.

I think it's an insult to books when they bring out a film and say "based on" at the start. Like the book wasn't quite good enough to be made into a film as it was and "better" bits had to be added.

So I finally took the time to watch the film all the way through, I know the threads old but I feel like ranting.

All in all, it's one of the worst movies in the series, alot of it was just random as hell.

Firstly, Harry in a tube station? uh, why? did he run away from privet drive? that kinda contradicts the purpose of why he was left there in the Dursley's care in the first place. Why'd they leave the part when Dumbledore goes to the Dursleys? That would have been a humourous scene, oh, great job missing out Sirius' will btw, I suppose Harry's gonna randomly go to grimmauld's place in the next film where atleast in the book it made sense because he knew Sirius left him the place, and what about Kreacher and Dobby, they're both massively important characters and there was no sign on them at all.....

Why Rufus Scrimegeour was left out, I cannot figure out why. I suppose when he gets murdered in the next film they'll just be like "hey, Scrimegeour was killed! We expect every single person who watches this has read the book so they'll know the importance of this!".

Not enough empahsis was put on the ring imo, despite the fact the things one of the deathly hallows, I laughed when Harry's like what's that? and Dumbledore simply replies "belonged to Voldemort's mother" especially when it took like three memories to explain the ring to Harry in the book.

Then of course there's the other new characters, like Fenrir, seriously, he has one line in the whole film, what was the point of him? He didn't do anything, especially since those fucking retarded crackheads behind this film constantly leave out Bill and Charlie (I'd love to see how the wedding plays out in the next film)! Slughorn was the only good new character imo, although I thought Lavender was portrayed perfectly though. It was nice to see Quidditch in there atleast.

The scene that pisses me off is the Burrow scene, what purpose did it have? If the death eaters could just fly into it and set it alight, why didn't they just do that in the first place?! Why was that scene even needed?! Haven't the weasley's heard of a fucking Fidelius charm?!

The ending is probably the worst part, it was completely anti climatic whereas in the book, it's the best part. Like Kae said earlier, what was the point of the vannishing cabinet when the death eaters do diddly dick?

There's only one scene that I think was done better then the book and that's the scene where Harry convinces Slughorn to give him the memory, Slughorn's story about the fish given to him by Harry's mother was pretty heartwarming and it was sad when he said it disappeared after she was killed.
