RE: Minor Villains?
Yeah Tseng did get stabbed at the temple, but maybe he didn't die and we just didn't see him for the rest of the game.
Or that would be the reason for bringing him back in AC that the creators would use.

Elena is useless, she doesn't fight she doesn't do anything useful accept moon after Tseng.
Reno and Rude Rock!

RE: Minor Villains?
He SOOO died. Lmao. They pulled a shifty in AC. Just like how Rufus didn't die. They just wanted to bring back some familiar faces.

RE: Minor Villains?
They never say that Tseng died. Nor do they show any death of him.

RE: Minor Villains?
Yeah and they also didn't say that Rufus dies.
You see him get blown up in the Shinra building, but as he says in AC he managed to escape or just happened to be lucky enough to survive the blast and the turks found him.
I mean he is in a wheelchair in the movies, give the guy a break.

RE: Minor Villains?
Yeah but why does he dissapear, where Scarlet and Heidegger than virtuallly take over? He hid for no reason.

I think if someone is mortally wounded, and then they never return to screen (despite there being another 2 discs of gameplay) then they are presumed dead. This is in reference to Tseng.

RE: Minor Villains?
Scarlet and heidegger takes over because 1 Midgar was brutally attacked. 2 they lost all communication with the top floors 3 They are complete idiots and assumed the president to be dead and instead of investigate the matter they saw their chance to take controll.

And On the Tseng I don't feel there is much I can say about it.. I agree that besides his little "I am not dead" thing when you talk to him there is noting in the game wich would lead you to believe that he survived. But at the same time they never outright say "oh that mofo died". So eh.. I guess it comes down to how you as a individual sees it..

RE: Minor Villains?
I think they would like you to assume that he was so badly injured that he wasn't able to be any use to the other turks for the rest of the game. Not that he did anything anyway, but I guess we're to assume that he was off recuperating somewhere. Healin maybe? : )

RE: Minor Villains?
I refuse to acknowledge Advent Children's legitimacy, as it was so utterly poor. As far as I'm concerned, Tseng and Rufus died in those scenes.

My favourite minor villains are:

FF 6:
Ultros - the hilariously dastardly octopus.

FF 7:
The Turks - and leave Elena alone; she's hard as nails in the final encounter (easily the most dangerous of the three).

Scarlet - she's a bit over the top, but her slap fight with Tifa on the Sister Ray (which she renames), and her despicable actions in burning down Corel and attacking Barret and Dyne... She's evil, but she's got class.

The Midgar Zolom - because everyone gets owned by it the first time and everyone goes to leather it good and proper when they've levelled up.

FF 8:
Fujin - just my favourite FF character ever. Her look and her speech are just perfect.

Laguna - because he's such a likeable goon. He probably stops once in a while and thinks 'I'm the president of Esthar... wow, how did that happen?'

Biggs and Wedge - they have a great 'underdogs' thing going on in this game. Constantly complaining about their luck, they're a good double act.

FF 9:
Black Waltz No.2 - It looks the most menacing and my blood froze in my veins when I fought it again recently. I'd forgotten it uses counter magic - 'So you want to use magic?' Arrgggh!!!

Beatrix - dispelling the notion that a party will always win against one human boss. She's a hard lady this one. A great look and part of one of the only romances I care anything about.

FF 10:
None - one of my main bones of contention about this game was that the baddies were all rubbish. I guess the Dark Aeons would be my only choice if pressed, but they have no personality at all.

FF X-2:
Again, none. Shuyin is a decent idea, but his look ruins the 'evil spectre' image he has in the Den of Woe etc. (Besides, he's a main villain).

The game has plenty of good characters, but they're mostly all good guys (The Gullwing guys, Tobli etc). Leblanc and co are okayish, but hardly classic characters.

FF 12:
Judge Ghis - great voice, great look (with and without the helmet). If only he had more to do, but then you could say that about pretty much all the characters.

Ba'Gamnan - the nefarious star of some of the best sections of the game, this buzzsaw wielding menace should have been in the game more also.

And that's my choices. Many of these pale in comparsion however, to Emperor Black Frost AKA Hee Ho from Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call.

'I just wanted to be all powerful and evil... yet cute. I'm mellting, I'm melllltiiiing!'
