^ I don't think it ever states it outright, but it's hinted at that his father is Spoiler: Laguna. I think his mother was Raine, although I'm not 100% sure about that.

I know it was obvious who his parents were, but he was kinda dense. Maybe he didn't know. I still would've liked a better tie up for it.
And the story's about love. Roxy.
Love for your family, friends, partners, etc.
Why shouldn't they throw it in our faces.
I still feel that they could have added something to the ending scenes. I wanted to see a little more happy ending than we got.
And how can people not believe that Squall lived? Was Rinoa kissing herself on the balcony???!!!

Rinoa - Hi
Squall - ...
Rinoa - dance with me
Squall - No
Rinoa - jedi mind trick dance with me
Squall - ok

And some people just can't pay attention so they miss stuff. I know the ending shows that he is very much alive but.. I guess they have the attention span of a 12 year old and they could not bear to watch that long cutscene "like zomg Why don't they let me kill something!?!"


basically what I did not like about the game was that I felt there was no bridge between the "leave me alone" to "I love you". I still love the game and I replay it often.

IMO there are many other FF games that handles the love theme so much better instead of just "they love eachother deal with it."

You do make a good point I think it was during disc 3 that all the sudden squall stopped being a emo and starting talking to and liking Rinoa. It was a bit fast of a transition. But it isn't as fast as you claim it to be. They did work up to it. Example, when they went to space. That was building to it.
