I figured so... You meet the last boss at the very end of the game which is unbelievebly gay...

Eagerly awaiting this game though... FF4 on the SNES was one of my favourite games

Sadly I had never even heard of FFII(FFIV) on SNES. (I was about 5 years old at the time)

So I played FFIV advanced. It is one of my favorite GBA games.

You should play the SNES version to keep you up-to-date!!! Not to mention all the other good SNES games... Like Final Fantasy 3(6), 2(4), 5 and Chrono Trigger! It's much better than the graphics-intensified Final Fantasy we get these days... (although not all of them are that bad)

If you play the SNES and old-school Final Fantasys, you'll know why most of us oldies here don't like the new ones... They're horrible plot-wise =p

My guess is that people who do not like previous old FF games (series on 8bit & 16bit)
didn't have the love' for 8bit & 16bit at all! that could be the reason. Lol!!!

If people haven't played any pokemon games lol (my first RPG game)
or hate "2D" games then that wouldn't give you the edge of enjoying it.
