Mmh... Quistis is not my favourite. I always use Squall, Zell and Irvine, because their limit breaks can do over 300'000HP per turn (sometimes I use Linoa for her invincible spell).

But Quistis's Degenerator is very useful for do some level up (on the Heaven or Hell's islands...). You can reach lv.100 in a few hours.

I find that the most battlefriendly members are usually the main characters. They always have jacked up stats taht make them sweet and unstopable. The best though, hmmm... I would have to say I've gotten the best results from Rinoa and Fran.

Cait Sith is a pretty good brawler. I thought he was incredibly helpful when he joined up with you while you escaped from Junon/during the weapon attack. At that point in the game all you really need to do is pummel through your enemies (no strategy required), so...You don't really have to bust out the strategic skills until disc 3.

He's not my favorite character to have in a boss fight, but he IS handy!
