It only came out for the DS in North America, but I'm learning japanese so I can play through the original classics in their original glory. So far, I can understand a little of it, but I have a fan translation in case I get stumped on a phrase. Learn japanese, everyone! It's awesome!

The DS version, and loving it. It might not be the original, but its the best I can get without getting an Emulator

I've played both and I'm going to have to go with the DS version only b/c of graphics though. Everything else isn't that much different from the orginal. (Except for name and pointless crap like that.)

I beat FFIII in its original format on an emulator with an english patch. That was a great experience. But I also bought the DS Version and completed it as well, along with all of the extra stuff that they added. It's one of the few games where I actually completed the total 100% of everything you could do.
