RE: One question what would it be?
lol, omg i hate FFXII i hope that FFXIII is the revolution of the new FF franchise, i'm sure that their won't be any spinoffs with this game, yeah FFXII sucked horribly, the new FF gameplay is attracting new gamers with new battle systems, and gameplay nothing old school like it use to be. FFX was new once and wasn't completely horrible I actually liked it.

RE: One question what would it be?
i never did complete x i got into it several times but after 5 or 6 hours it would still be going so slow i just stopped playing it. with what i have seen of ff 7 crisis core i dont see why square couldnt port ff x to the psp i would probably be more willing to sit through it if i could take it with me. the handheld generation is going to take over the at home consoles. watch and see. a psp is worth the investment if you havent got one already. though i do highly suggest a ds as well, the ds rules!

RE: One question what would it be?
I dunno people like live, outstanding graphics, lots of memory, and downloadable content does the psp, or ds have any of these things? Well it does seem like their remaking a lot of games to the psp, they do have good graphics but today, some gamers are into real environments, you should beat FFX though it was a good original game before (FFX-2 dont play) I do think that a lot of gamers will eventually convert to the psp though.

RE: One question what would it be?
In my opinion FF X was the greatest game of all time.....
FF VII was an awesome game but not quite as good as X. I'd be totally up for a remake of VII, just no change to gameplay or story.... just update the graphics/ add voice and make it for a new game system like PS3. Some say it will discrace he original, but I just think its like putting fresh paint on a classic car....doesn't make it any less a classic, just makes it look nicer and still drivable. I would want to ask when they are gonna return to making original stories....and I would like to see a return to "Fantasy" and not so much just "Sci Fi". |

RE: One question what would it be?
I'm not saying that graphics are the only part to a game. FF VII was an incredible game just the way it is... Storyline is way more important. But whats it hurt to give it a fresh coat of paint as I described it earlier? Personally I would like to be able to replay that game again someday, maybe years from now. It is rough on the eyes now, when I first played it 5 or 6 years ago or so it was fine....but now its outdated. Not to mention it's already difficult to find...and my copy has some scratches from the years.
I tried to replay Legend of Dragoon the other day...its PS1 also... it won't play past the second disc because its scratched I guess... Updating games to a new system would be great just as long as the story isn't touched. For instance I would love to play Final Fantasy 6.....but can't find it, and don't have a Super Nintendo... It keeps the games alive instead of letting them fade into our memories. |

RE: One question what would it be?
you do raise some really valid points and theyre hard to argue with, i've said before the onyl way i would really be open to a FFVII remake is if they ported it to the psp and updated the graphics. with zero changes to anything else.
thats a shame about dragoon i too have that game still, though i have also downloaded the ntsc iso's ( im in a pal region ) to convert to eboots and have played several hours of it on my psp. ( for more home brew info feel free to pm me i have a really great source and know someone who is awesome at pointing me in the right direction, he's also a member here ) as for FF VI you can pretty easily find the GBA version on ebay pretty cheap and its well worth getting the story is incredible better even than 7 8 and 9 combined. though i got the ps1 remake with updated cg scenes converted that to my psp as well. as you can tell i love my psp and recommend buying an old psp to anyone, new ones are shite and you cant home brew them yet. ![]()

RE: One question what would it be?
I'd ask them why they're following the typical corporate path and letting the quality of the Final Fantasy series drop with each new release.

RE: One question what would it be?
I just looked on Ebay and apparently Legend of Dragoon is easy to find....and really cheap as well. So I am buying a new copy to have. In fact there was several Final Fantasy games on there for cheap as well.
I wasn't aware there was a GBA version of VI, I will have to look into that. I would love to have a PSP just because of all the RPG titles that seem to be coming out on them....I may have to splurge on one soon... |
